A day at the beach. Almost like the Caribbean.
A beach for you alone or with a beach bar and restaurant?
The beaches in Sardinia are breathtakingly beautiful.
There is no one famous beach in Sardinia. Or maybe it is? Well, yes, because the Cala Goloritze bay on the Gulf of Orosei is a very special beach. But there are so many beautiful small bays and large beaches that it can sometimes be difficult to choose. However, you sometimes have to drive a little to reach the really “secluded” beach.
Many of the beaches are very busy in season but wonderfully quiet and empty out of season.
The Mediterranean is an endangered ecosystem, but we can still have a lot of fun there.
When visiting a beach in Sardinia, there are some important points to bear in mind in order to protect the local environment and ensure a pleasant stay.
- Beach rules and regulations: Find out about the specific rules and regulations of the beach you are visiting. These may vary by location and may include restrictions on noise, pets, and water sports activities.
- Avoid litter: Don’t leave any garbage on the beach. Take all your waste with you and use the bins provided. Protecting the environment is crucial to preserving the beauty of the beaches.
- Respect for nature: Avoid entering protected natural areas and dunes. These areas play an important role in the ecosystem and should be respected in order to protect the local flora and fauna.
- Sun protection: Wear sunscreen to protect yourself from the intense sun. Be sure to use eco-friendly sunscreens to minimize any negative impact on marine life.
What is allowed – and what is not. Please note, otherwise you may be fined.
- Water waste: Use water sparingly, especially in regions with limited water resources. Take a shower before entering the beach to rinse off any sand and use the showers provided for this purpose.
- Protection of sensitive ecosystems: Collecting shells, stones or other natural materials is prohibited. These are often part of the local ecosystem and should remain untouched.
- Responsible behavior on the water: Pay attention to the flags and warning signs on the beach that indicate the safety conditions. Respect bathing bans and watch out for strong currents.
- Local culture: Respect the local culture and the privacy of the locals. Behave in a respectful and reserved manner to make a positive impression.
By paying attention to these aspects, you can not only enjoy your own stay on the beach in Sardinia, but also contribute to it.
When you leave the beach in the evening, you will see that the locals take everything they have brought back with them. From chewing gum wrappers to the last cigarette butt. The beach is left as clean as it can be.
