The journey to Sardinia
By car or plane to Sardinia
Make the journey comfortable
By plane or ferry to Olbia.
By airplane
Olbia Airport is served by many airlines. Depending on the season, for example in winter, not directly, but via a stopover.
You can see – but not hear – Olbia airport in the distance from the terrace of Villa Ella. The airport is approx. 18 km away and can be reached in approx. 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. If we are expecting guests, we drive off when we see the plane land at the specified time and are then on site on time. Very practical.
If you have not booked a rental car, which is very practical given our location on a mountain and for exploring the surrounding area, we will be happy to pick you up at the airport.
Rental cars are available at Olbia Airport from various providers and a reservation is recommended. A list of all car rental companies can be found here. We have had good experience with the provider Sixt.
Attention! If you book the rental car from home, remember to bring the credit card used for the booking and the driver’s license of the person who reserved the car.
By ferry
The ferry port of Olbia can also be seen from Villa Ella. The Olbia ferry terminal is approx. 10 km away and can be reached in approx. 15 – 20 minutes.
